Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Dictionair collects, how it's used, and your choices.

Account information: your email address, if you create an account. Guest ("continue without an account") usage doesn't require an email.
Content you create: tasks, subtasks, categories, and templates you add to the app.
Friend and sharing data: if you use the friends feature, your nickname and email become visible to other users who search for you. If you share a task with a friend, they can view and edit its full content.
Device information: standard technical information (device model, OS version) is included automatically if you use "Report a Bug," to help diagnose issues.

To provide the app's core functionality (storing and syncing your tasks across sessions).
To enable the friends and sharing features you choose to use.
To generate AI-powered task breakdowns, when you use that feature (see below).
To respond to support requests you send us.

Your data is stored and processed by Supabase, our backend provider. Supabase's own privacy practices govern how they handle data on our behalf.
When you use "Generate steps with AI," your task's title (and any existing subtask titles) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate suggestions. This content is used to generate a response and is subject to Anthropic's own data handling practices.

We do not sell your personal information.
Task content is shared with other users only when you explicitly choose to share a task with a friend, or accept a friend's share with you.
Your nickname and email are visible to other signed-in users who search for you, since that's what makes the friends feature work.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently deletes your account and all associated tasks, categories, and templates.
You can use the app as a guest without providing an email, with the limitation that guest data isn't recoverable if the app is deleted.

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

These terms govern your use of Dictionair, provided by Sjoerd van Lexmond.

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity under it.
You may use the app as a guest, or create an account with an email and password.

Don't use the app to store or share unlawful content.
Don't attempt to access other users' data outside of features explicitly designed for sharing (e.g. the friends/sharing feature).

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID account.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings app, under your Apple ID.
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by Apple's App Store policies or applicable law.

You retain ownership of the tasks and content you create.
By sharing a task with a friend, you grant them full access to view and edit that content for as long as the share remains active.

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by law, Sjoerd van Lexmond is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
